The following is a brief Overview of a Business Perspective for the Systems Integration of the processes of Autonomous creation, extraction, storage, manipulation, and transfer of knowledge, i.e. an Automomous Knowledge System (AKS), onto a stand-alone Application System (Appliance; Device), an Autonomous Knowledge Appliance (AKA). This solution is available as a form of the Automated Inference Technologies (AIT’s) of ThoughtSigns, Inc. (The AutoGnomic Group of Companies) (TSI/TAGC), specifically the AutoGnome (AG). This is implemented by embedding the AutoGnome in ThoughtSigns Enterprises (TSE) turnkey appliances and incorporating a Web-controlled MultiMedia system as an installed User Training Agent.  A first instantiation is a novel “Virtual Technology Innovation Support System” which should serve as a model for a new profit center for research and development parks, innovation centers, traditional incubators, technology transfer offices, offices of sponsored research and CIO’s/CKO’s. 

THE INNOVATION CYCLE

The initial Intellectual Capital (IC) will be focused on automating the 
 Innovation (I⁴) Cycle, i.e. from

     Ideation (conceptualization) to

     Incubation (gestation) to Initial 
     Implementation (birthing=entrepreneurial introductory implementation) to

     Investment (nurturing=capital infusion including financial, human, relational,  

     knowledge)

 together with the Autonomous Online Community Building AutoGnome.
