In the preceding post introducing the Virtual Scientist, ThoughtSigns' (TSI)/StartSmartR Capital Corporation's (SCC’s) AutoGnomic (AG) “Collective Intelligent-Virtual Innovation Network” was offered as a formal response to both the DARPA “Next Generation Social Science Project” and to the “Earth Day 2017 March for Science” problem on how to effect the continuous evolution of a reformed science after the March.

DARPA’S NEXT GENERATION SOCIAL SCIENCE PROGRAM aims to harness emerging technologies to tackle previously intractable social science challenges such as identifying the primary drivers of social cooperation, instability and resilience.

The MARCH FOR SCIENCE champions robustly funded and publicly communicated science as a pillar of human freedom and prosperity that upholds the common good and provides political leaders and policy makers evidence-based policies in the public interest.

SCC’s Partnering Agreement with Charles River Analytics (CRA) provides the basis for building an AutoGnomic-targeted social-networking platform for social science which could be developed by beginning with certain of CRA’s existent relevant software with the goal of adapting it and marketing it as an independent product. Toward that end, the following might exemplify the initiating approach:

CRA’s Cognitive Systems Engineering (CSE) approach to designing human and technical systems based on analysis of the user and their working environment could include; 

· Designing an Adaptive Design Application to guide the experimental design process based on research goals, constraints, and suitable methods;

· Figaro™, designed to enable development of probabilistic reasoning systems, is a fully expressive, open-source probabilistic programming language developed as part of DARPA’s PPAML program which includes learning and inference algorithms and is an ideal framework for Experimental Meta-Modeling;

· The Rapid Expertise Aggregation Supporting Optimal Negotiation (REASON) platform was developed to enable collaborative decision-making online;

· The Credibility Assessment and Intent Research Network (CAIRN), provided a platform for facilitating sharing among expert researchers and practitioners investigating the assessment of credibility and intent in linguistic data; and

The Organizational and Cultural Criteria for Subject Modeling (OCCSM) is a tool to support an Agents analysis and reasoning about a Subjects behavior. OCCSM allows an Agent to create a computational model of competing as well as of friendly or neutral Subject populations, which can then be linked to a variety of data sources that guides the Agent through a formalized approach to assessing, analyzing, and forecasting human behavior, specifically competitor acts




·         Automated Autonomous Inquiry/Inference Technologies (AIT’s) are the essence-to-be of the Virtual World generally, and specifically of E-Business in the Global Network Economy. The competitive edge will favor those with the highest relative measure of effectiveness of their respective AIT’s, both intensively (depth of applicability) and extensively (breadth of varying technologies encompassed). This will be true of business-in-general and, hence, of specific technology industries/commerce in particular. The dilemma facing the users of AIT’s is the wide range of seemingly distinct forms or, more to the point, the differing theoretical origins implicit therein.  Common to each of these, however is an effort intended to emulate, at least in part, some process(es) of human intelligence.  Hence, the dominance of the brain-inspired Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications proliferation.
·         Modern computing capacity (including both memory and speed) has enabled AI to grow in depth and breadth of performance in narrow applications such as machine vision, speech recognition, bioinformatics and health care decisions, all of which are impressive and of substantial human and commercial value. On the other hand, the distance between contemporary AI systems and many other presumed characteristics of mind and intelligence, such as performing logical reasoning, carrying on a conversation with another intelligent being, or explaining itself, is as great as ever in the history of AI. "Real" intelligence--if humans are to be a guide--includes a broad range of capabilities such as creativity, resourcefulness, social cooperation, and so on, that are far from the reach of the high-profile, commercially compelling approaches of AI.
·         As an alternative view of AIT development, SCC’s AutoGnome (AG) Technology treats the process of theory (and model) generation to be an exemplary pinnacle in the evolution of human intelligence.  Hence, a theory of the process of theory generation would itself be a comprehensive theory of intelligence/mind modeling the fundamental capability that enables humans to learn, adapt, and cooperate as they do--by creating, using, and refining a system of signs by and for itself. This ability makes the AutoGnome a superior approach to intelligent machines that will work closely with humans as CyberGnomes, first learning from them, then emulating them, and finally partnering with them as autonomous minds in advancing knowledge.
·         One such application is in collaborative man-machine communities of inquiry & inference (COI), such as in scientific research and community decision making. The type of intelligence required to participate in such a community includes full participation in the constant use and refinement of the natural and formal (e.g. mathematical) languages (systems of signs) used to reflect the growing collective knowledge and experience of the community. It also requires the ability to learn and understand the differences between individuals and how to interact with them as individuals. Hence the AutoGnome as an autonomous Synthetic Mind (Clone), both in the form of an individual or collective SynMind, has powerful instantiations as Virtual Scientists.
·         The problem visited upon AIT development of alternatives to AI is that for decades the funding sources have all but exclusively been committed to AI. Clearly the investment returns have been and remain rewarding. Amongst the various funding opportunity waves that we have experienced in our near-term past, most being relatively ordinary, although occasionally attractive, none have implicated the potential of the present synchronous circumstance of the DARPA Next Generation Social Science Project, which Charles River Analytics (CRA) is aggressively addressing, and the March for Science on Earth Day 2017, which has the unanswered problem of after the March of how to effect the continuous evolution of a reformed science.

·         Obviously, TSI-SCC’s AG [CRA-TSI] Collective Intelligent—Virtual Innovation Network is THE SOLUTION which has been long awaiting THE PROBLEM to be expressed in an accepting environment such as this synchronous circumstance. This is a rare opportunity for TSI/SCC both technologically (Science) and promotionally (Earth Day). This is our EPIC OPPORTUNITY WAVE to mount and ride. With our collective body, mind and spirit of science, focused on solving this problem, we can convince Humanity that the AG approach to creating a Synthetic Intelligence (AutoGnome=Mind Clone) has a key instantiation as a Virtual Scientist (autonomous inquiry and inference-deductive, inductive, and abductive) thus enabling the democratization of access for everyone to participate in Knowledge Creation, Discovery, Organization, Implementation and Sharing.

AutoGnomic (AG) vs. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

         A rough line drawn through the history of AI starts with early attempts to mimic the exquisite complexity of logical reasoning in the early years, and passes through the most recent trends in industrial scale engineering applications afforded by modern processing power and access to digital data. Two of the biggest centers of attention in AI at the moment are Google and IBM. Google's recently announced public release of it's TensorFLow machine learning platform underlying the GoogleBrain project, and newsworthy successes such as learning about cats from unlabeled YouTube videos, demonstrate the power of large-scale computing applied to so-called "deep learning". Deep learning typically refers to artificial neural network (ANN) architectures that are stacked in increasing numbers of layers, where such deeper layers model more abstract features of the problem space than shallower ANNs which more directly relate their inputs and outputs.  Modern computing capacity has enabled ANNs to grow in depth as the inherent inefficiencies in the brute-force training of ANNs layers are overcome. Deep learning performance in narrow applications such as machine vision, speech recognition, and bioinformatics has been impressive and of substantial commercial value. 

On the other hand, the distance between contemporary deep learning systems and other presumed characteristics of mind and intelligence, such as performing logical reasoning, carrying on a conversation with another intelligent being, or explaining itself, is as great as ever in the history of AI. For AI that aspires to collaborate with and enhance human intelligence as a partner, deep learning offers little hope at present. On the other hand, IBM's Watson technology, made famous in its success in TV's Jeopardy! competition is specifically designed to work in the space of human intelligence. Branching out from competing with humans in game shows, Watson now provides advice to on-line shoppers and treatment recommendations to cancer doctors. Watson is specifically designed to respond to questions put to it by humans, in human language, with answers drawn from sources created by and for humans such as wikipedia and dictionaries. Rather than through any "deep" learning or reasoning, Watson's power comes from it's ability to index and search vast amounts of information based on statistical similarities grounded in keywords and phrases extracted from the question. While providing a valuable and impressive capability for the narrow activity it was designed for--answering questions--it is generally accepted that Watson offers little insight or capability in the wider range of intelligent activity. Like deep learning, it is a showcase for the practical potential of focusing vast computing power and data on a narrow problem.

But that does not mean there are not other opportunities as impressive and potentially profitable. One such application is in collaborative man-machine communities of inquiry, such as scientific and special interest communities. The type of intelligence required to participate in such a community includes full participation in the constant use and refinement of language to reflect the growing collective knowledge and experience of the community. It also requires the ability to learn and understand the differences between individuals and how to interact with them as individuals.

 Deep learning is too far removed from humanity, and Watson is too crude in it's brute statistics, to meet these needs. The AutoGnome, on the other hand, has charted it's own path through the history of AI. Although conceived near the beginning of modern AI history (circa 1960), its developers soon realized the limitations of the hand-crafted reasoning systems in those early years and instead adopted a large-scale learning approach that would only sound familiar nearly a half-century later in the "big data" and machine learning approaches of today. On the other hand, the AutoGnome contrasts with both deep learning and Watson-like approaches in modeling the underlying capability that enabled humans to evolve to reason, learn, and cooperate as they do—the capability to create, use, and refine a system of signs by and for itself. This capability makes the AutoGnome a superior approach to intelligent machines that will work closely with humans, first learning from them, then emulating them, and finally partnering with them in advancing knowledge. What the AutoGnome does share with GoogleBrain and Watson are the tremendous potential benefits of rapidly increasing computing power and information access. The window of opportunity is as open as it ever has been for commercialization of the AutoGnome, combining the demonstrated power of modern technology underlying the success of deep learning, addressing human needs in the complex modern world being partly but profitably met by Watson, but in applications not remotely addressed by either.
Over the past five decades, dating to the late 1950’s, an emerging trio of geographically and functionally independent researchers from the Linguistic Research Center, University of Texas at Austin (Pendergraft & Hirst) and from Johns Hopkins University and the Research Institute for Advanced Studies, Baltimore, MD (Hamann) coalesced as a distributed AG-founders team from 1979 to 1989 to focus on the completion of the formulation of the Specification for the AutoGnome (AutoGnomic Design Specification ) which led to the inception and formation of the AutoGnomics Group of Companies (AGC). The AGC, loosely formed beginning around 1990 by the Hirsts, Hamann, Pendergraft, and Reed, to develop and technologically implement a Standard Theory of Mind (the AutoGnome). The founding corporate parents of the AGC are The AutoGnomics Institiute, Inc.(TAI) and AutoGnomics Corporation (AC). AC has been inactive since 2010; hence, ThoughtSigns, Inc., (TSI) was subsequently formed as the prime managing director of AutoGnomics Theory and Technology Development, including aggregation and reformation of the now varied and global AutoGnomic and related development efforts into a concerted “Project AutoGnomics--Center of MIND” and AG Tech Apps., all Formulated on the Foundations of AutoGnomic MultiCoRelational Systems (MCRS)]. Key current AGC Partnering Companies include: First Peoples Capital Corporation (FPCC) and TrueFarmer, Inc. (TFI), focused on Indigenous and Rural Cultures, respectively, and StartSmartR Capital Corporation focused on the Global Metro cultures.

Since the initial founding of the AGC in 1994, through 2010, AG technology has realized investments (partly directly and partly indirectly through key affiliates) of approximately $15 million applied to its development efforts. This has led to 5 issued patents on semiotic-based AutoGnomic Processing Systems via a joint venture (UniGnomics) with Unisys Corporation (1997-2000). Also, through the continued support by Unisys from 2000 to 2008, a group led by one of the AutoGnomics/Unisys team secured over 40 additional issued patents on the AutoGnomic Data Storage System. All of this latter Data Storage System Intellectual Property was licensed back by Unisys to the AGC on August 28, 2010 and was subsequently traded to retire about $5 million of third party stockholdings. Approximately $10 million of the $15 million was derived from the UniGnomics effort with Unisys Corporation. From 2002 through 2010, the remaining $5 million of the $15 million was raised via four sequential private placements with the proceeds focused on the development and commercialization of a MyWebGnome product branded as “TrueThinker”.

Coincident with the wrapping up of UniGnomics at the end of 1999, Unisys exercised a warrant to purchase common stock in AutoGnomics; this transaction set an implied AG value at $41 million. Although the various AG software IP and related patents, copyrights and knowhow are a significant contribution to AG value, they are incidental in comparison to the 585 page proprietary Autognomic Design Specification. This latter has involved an uncountable number of hours of R&D effort under the AG-founders team from 1959 through 1989 with the concentrated work being from 1979 to 1999. This project has produced what arguably remains as the only publicly known globally existent experiential foundation for a standard theory of mind with a detailed conceptual specification for building a synthetic mind. Assuming a baseline value around $50 million in 1999 and conservatively assessing the value-added during the intervening decade and a half since, it is not unreasonable to set an estimated value in the order of $500 million to $1 billion based on present values of ongoing commercial development pro formas.

PROJECT AUTOGNOME is long-term project directed at developing a standard theory of MIND and implementing it in stages as evolving Synthetic Intelligence enroute to a SyntheticMind.

The AutoGnome at the cognitive level of software engineering is essentially a Knowledge Developer.

Knowledge is that attribute of Mind focused (albeit not exclusively) on Mind’s cognitive/semantic (meaning) functionality. Knowledge grows from Intelligence (the syntactic form) which is born of Data/Information and matures as Wisdom (Knowledge focused through Value in the choice of Acts).

In the context of a description of Mind, the following distinctions regarding Knowledge can be made:
·         Data: bits of arithmetical/linguistic records such as lists (e.g. phone lists) or 
      records in a database  or spreadsheet
·         Information: data organized so that it can be communicated
·         Intelligence: Perceptual processes focused on syntactic patterning
·         Knowledge: Cognitive processes focused on semantic patterning
·         Wisdom: Valuational Decision processes focused on pragmatic patterning
      i.e. Action Selection

The Future of the Web
In terms of the foregoing, the following definitions might be projected to emerge in characterizing the Web:
·         Web 1.0 – Syntactic Web (Perceptual; Intelligence)
·         Web 2.0 – Syntactic-based Social Web
·         Web 3.0 – Semantic Web (Cognitive; Knowledge)
·         Web 4.0 – Semantic-based Social Web
·         Web 5.0 – Pragmatic Web  (Valuational; Wisdom)
·         Web 6.0 – Pragmatic-based Social Web
·         Web 7.0– AutoGnomic (Semiotic) Web; includes its Social Web and anticipates a new computing   paradigm realizing Boundary Logic.

The current status in this development (Synthetic Mind: IntelligenceàKnowledgeàWisdom) is hovering between Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 with forays into Web 3.0 and 4.0.  Hence, Synthesizing Knowledge is the present goal with Wisdom (Knowledge processed through a Value filter) still a human interpretive extension. Nevertheless, the mission of AutoGnomics, in contrast to approaches to bring AI into the Web, is to reform the Web as an AutoGnome; hence, Web 7.0 is a present goal of a Pragmatic Action Methodological approach to both a Synthetic Mind and Virtuality, the AutoGnomic Intellisite.


The function of a digital computer search engine is to locate and retrieve stored DATA (see above definition). Obviously, a developing AutoGnome can enhance the process of such search, e.g. by automating the creation of ontologies in current semantic-based search.

Humans Minds are, with varying degrees of intent, generally searching for more effective and satisfying ways to inter-relate – interpersonally; within families, communities, and organizations; in understanding different cultures and socio-economic and environmental relations; and in creative cooperation with nature. But without an understanding of the notion of relation and its experiential realizations, each human-being drives their own little bumper car in the carnival of life merely waiting for the next collision and reaction. Never seeing the collective movement. Never understanding the inter-related Whole.

Imagine, if just for a moment, that all of human kind could move toward a more fluid, peaceful, and symbiotic Whole with their fellow human beings and the world at large, if only we were to tweak one tiny simple presumption in the traditional collective thinking of our global culture. That is “One of the most profound scientific recognitions of modern times is that the Universe no longer can be represented only through material objects, but rather must be seen as fundamentally relational. If the manifest Universe is relational, then it behooves us to understand how relations relate!” [Edited from Hamann, J. R. and Rindge, J. P. (1978) "A New Transforming Symbol System", Human Dimensions, 6, Nos. 1 and 2]. In this context MultiCoRelationalism was born and is being applied in developing a formal foundation for the collective understanding of the Nature of MIND.

It is often said that “two minds are better than one”! Yet we all recognize that the individual mind is the prime source of human creativity. These seemingly conflicting impressions are reconcilable from Humanity’s perspective when a created “truth” is also “collectively relevant” and of “general value to humanity”. However, the creativity of humans has generated profound societal change, including rapidly exploding information availability (the Internet), leaving humanity with an information overload for which the human mind requires a technological assist to effectively act on the continually changing information. The traditional scientific approach to a solution has been in the development and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) software. Despite the positive and sometimes seemingly miraculous results of the AI solutions (like self-driving cars), the general experience of managing the convergence of big data, cloud computing, and ubiquitous networked sensors/devices in AI supported decision making, has led to a continuing disappointment with the lack of explainability of many of these AI engineered solutions. As a consequence, there is an alternative rapidly growing neo-scientific and collective-enterprise value being placed on autonomous and adaptive self-generating synthetic intelligence theories and technologies more closely replicating the processes of Mind than the engineered AI models of brain function. ThoughtSigns’ strategy is to ride this growing wave of emerging theory, enabling technologies, and market interest, all of which, due to their lack of a generalized artificial intelligence, implicate the necessary need and value of ThoughtSigns’ Synthetic Intelligence (SI)/Synthetic Mind (AutoGnome (AG)) development, all the while sustaining a technological applications business advantage by partnering with AI developers in the implementation of their existing AI software as initial commercial solutions which can then be morphed into AG solutions. A first generative instantiation of this Synthetic Intelligence is a Scientific Intelligence. The automation of the logics of inquiry and inference will enable machines to learn from data, and ask relevant questions to obtain new data. This promises a reformed Scientific Method inclusive of the Collective Intelligence Quotients for each of the T/R/V - Truth with Relevance and Value for Humanity as Whole.

Concomitant with the emergence of the prolific AI/SI developments, of equal importance has been the momentous introduction of the concept of a network as the operating infrastructure of our global socioeconomic reality. The Internet has led to a new socioeconomic structure, a MultiCoRelational System composed of multiple and fluid connections, operating within hierarchical and heterarchical levels, to access and process a wide range of capital resources. Networks have the capacity to process not only goods and services, but also information in a manner that promotes wide-ranging collective involvement in strategic planning and decision-making rather than special groups with unilateral information transference. Formally, it is known that the value of a network grows as the square of the number of nodes/participants in the network.

Hence, the SI/AG StartSmartR Collective Intelligence Technology, being a breakthrough in information/knowledge/wisdom technology, will solve a broad range of economically and socially important problems not effectively addressed by modern digital computing systems using AI software alone.  Commercialization of this proprietary technology will create a new industry defining the standard for virtual mind-enhancement of collective human decision-making in which ThoughtSigns, Inc. intends to become the scientific, technological and business leader. The radical, unique and novel feature of this collective intelligence is that both the Individual AutoGnome (MyWebGnome) in the collective as well as the Collective AutoGnome (CoGnome) itself are intelligent AutoGnomes. TSI through its StartSmartR Virtual Innovation Network goes beyond current virtual social networking (e.g., Facebook) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Quora) to a virtual collective-intelligence community, where users create, act, and learn within a technology-enhanced community of inquiry and inference. These community members can act on more complete, up-to-date, and relevant information while continuously refining and adding to the collective capability to achieve communal goals. StartSmartR Technology’s unique formal structure relating communal knowledge and experience will also enable autonomous synthetic intelligence to expand and augment human capacity for increased success in innovation across a wide range of applications.

of mind that accounts for degrees of genuine,   but non-anthropomorphically confined, mindfulness. This is both a radical and unique approach to the 
development of knowledge that no one else is engineering today.
 Project AutoGnome development aspires to virtual minds in virtual

Hence we have watched as many of the creative minds of our time have been quieted Galileo-like by the institutional orthodoxy of existing scientific inquiry. We are directing our Mind Trust to the formation of a “Global Council of Elders: Knowledge Creators/Wisdom Keepers” including both those persons still living, and those passed, via a re-creation of a virtual mind for each based on their personal semiotic record implementing the technology introduced herein.

The purpose of this conveyance is to introduce a Business Perspective for translating 50+ years of Knowledge Technology Research and Development into an exponentially growing network of commercial enterprises.
As humans know it, a defining feature of life is its constant evolution, most times with the change being a transformation by addition or modification, albeit frequently disruptive, but sometimes even resulting in elimination or effective replacement. Similarly, human knowledge itself is in constant evolution, recognizably in recent history at an exponentially increasing rate. Specifically, cognitive science principally through applied information and communication technology has radically changed the knowledge-access palette across humanity.
Human mind, hence life in general and humankind in particular, is on the doorstep of a co-created evolutionary extension of itself via a distinct new race of integrated human-intelligent machine systems which will in time emerge as an embryonic form of an Autonomous Synthetic Intelligence/Mind. The driver in this Human Mind/Artificial Intelligence research is Science based on the Western Materialist (Systemic) World View which has amazingly brought Human Knowledge from the discovery of fire through the development of language to the exploration of outer space and inner nanosystems. `
The knowledge of human experience is foundationally categorizable as being either of Things (Systems) or of InterActions (Relations). Although “common” experience is usually of the form of a Thing (hammer) InterActing (hitting) a Thing (nail), not all experience can authentically be represented as such. The Nature of experience, simplistically referenced, includes obviously that which one can point to, Things, but also that which cannot be pointed to, Fields.  A field being NoThing is of necessity a Relational (InterActive) form – since there are only two categories. However, since experience confirms that Fields interact with Fields, existing Western Mathematical Science is paradoxically in deficit since it only admits of the Relations of Things.
MultiCoRelational  founding principals introduced a resolution of the paradox based on a generalization of the notion of Relation. Throughout recorded history this notion was confined to a form in which relations were assumed to exist only between/among systems, i.e. Systems Related to other Systems. Between 1963-1968, research work was introduced in which relations were also taken to formally exist both as Relations between/among Systems and other Relations and as Relations between/among Relations and other Relations, i.e. MultiCoRelationalism was founded adding a Whole Field World View as a generalization of the established Systems World View.
Since we come to “understand” through Mind the experiencing of the ChaotiCosmos we live in, it is evident that “understanding”, being a function of mind, can be enhanced by first understanding mind. It is thus inevitable that Evolution through Human Co-Creation should forge a Synthetic Mind (SynMind) from an experientially consistent well-formed MultiCoRelational Theory of Mind.
In that the Whole as Relation is No-Thing, we adopt the notion of Field being No-Thing as the MultiCoRelational Form for elucidating mind. At the human mind level, Project AutoGnomicsTM  intends to experientially map the semiotic organization of the human mind, thereon to formulate a standard theory of mind, and to technologically synthesize and applicationally engineer its implementation (the AutoGnomeTM), all via an open participation social network of collective intelligent communities of inquiry, innovation and implementation focused on developing and commercializing incremental Synthetic Intelligence (SI) components of this SynMind. These latter then provide bit MindClones which participate in furthering the co-creative evolution of the SynMind and serve both as Human-SynIntelligent partnerships (CyberGnomesTM) and/or as autonomous Virtual Minds.
The semiotics theory of AutoGnomicsTM   treats the Observer-Sign-Object triad as a conceptual unit, where the sign signifies an experience to a particular observer. The triad as recorded is still a Systems Related to other Systems form, although historical narratives suggest the creators of pragmatic semiotics may have had non-formalized insights of a higher relational form.
It is at this point in the TransRelational ReConceptualization of the semiotic triad into an authentic TriRelational form in AutoGnomics that we have the bifurcation of World Views from the establishment's exclusive Systemic form into the inclusion of the future’s disruptive Whole Field form. Artificial Intelligence (AI) as currently mainstreaming is of course of the Systemic form; hence we have the welcome challenge of proving the AutoGnomicsTM  distinction in practice as the preferred technology.
It is especially important here to emphasize the distinction between AG and AI pragmatically with respect to its explicit value function. The dominant realization of machine intelligence as AI treats the Observer as external to the relation between the Sign and the Object (or Experience) it signifies. In contrast, AG theory realizes that the Observer-Sign-Object triad must be treated as a conceptual unit, much like the Observer--as--participant in the quantum theory of physical systems. And finally, recognizing this triad as a tri-relational (i.e. a specific MultiCoRelational) form where the sign signifies an experience to a particular observer, we also have the following: A sign of truth to a given observer signifies a realization of the degree of consistency between an expectation and the actual in that observer’s experience. The sign of relevance of the experience to that observer is a measure of the degree to which it does or can effect positive personal change. And finally, the sign of value (goodness) of the experience to that observer is a measure of the positive value of that change personally, but also concomitantly to the collective whole. The Relational AutoGnomeTM is designed to maximize these latter signs in operation thus bringing this form of SI enhancement of human performance to an intentional all-win opportunity for society.
The AutoGnomeTM at the cognitive level of software engineering is essentially a Knowledge Developer. Knowledge is that attribute of Mind focused (albeit not exclusively) on Mind’s cognitive/semantic (meaning) functionality. Knowledge grows from Intelligence (the syntactic form) which is born of Data/Information and matures as Wisdom (Knowledge focused through Value in the choice of Acts). The initiating implementation of AutoGnomicsTM, the CyberGnomeTM, as a Human-intelligent machine (AutoGnomicTM) system (CyberMind), is a development stage product originated via a joint venture (UniGnomics)  with Unisys Corporation.
The explication of the Web as a Virtual Reality (a computer-based CyberGnomeTM Space) is an image (sign, symbol, icon)-communication system, that is, a MultiCoRelational Semiotic System, which as noted above is also the essence of Mind. This provides an optimal approach to a General Theory of an Autonomous Virtual Society (Virtuality)—this being an autonomous semiotic Community/Universe of Virtual Minds (WebGnomes™); hence Virtuality is related to (Human) Reality through the Virtual Reality of the Web. TSE is organizing a project team for developing a novel multi-user platform for the Collective Intelligence of this Community of Minds based on AutoGnomeTM Technology.

The radical, unique and novel feature of this collective intelligence is that both the individual MyWebGnomes in the collective as well as the CollectiveGnome (CoGnome) itself are intelligent AutoGnomes.

Like rural cities around the world, Mitchell has  been shaped by the productivity revolution in agriculture.  Over the  past 80 years, automation has transformed farming from a labor-intensive business to a capital-intensive one employing a tiny percentage of the workforce.  The six counties surrounding Mitchell  have lost one-third of their population since 1930.  The most talented and ambitious are inevitably the first to go.

City of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown recently announced a new initiative to redevelop the Northland Avenue “area” (Totaling approx. 500 acres), a very depressed, partially abandoned manufacturing and residential area in the city.  The Buffalo Urban Development Corporation (“BUDC”) was designated as lead agency to accomplish this redevelopment task. TSE has approached BUDC with a very aggressive and creative plan to develop an Urban Village via the AutoGnomicTM Collective Intelligence Application.

(TAI) to lead in the Futures Global WHOLE-istic Re-culturing of Humanity via a First People’s model based first on the development of a MultiCoRelational (Multilingual/Multicultural) Indigenous Virtual University  which would then provide the innovation foundation to grow an international Intelligent Community Forum Smart City candidate as a notice to the World of the birthing of a New Relational Age born of the ancient traditions of all Indigenous People expressed in the Lakota aphorism, “mitakuye oyasin” (we are all related).
Collective Intelligence Technology-based Business Perspective for two sequential 30-Month periods:
With an Investment of $2.5 million, positive cash flow is reached in the 22rd month with Total Income of about $15 million and a cumulative Net Operating Income (NOI) of about $10 million over 30 months. Over this period the business also shows a Cash Surplus of $7.25 million after Return of Investment of $2.5 million and a Set-aside Reserve of another $2.5 million as a potential Return on Investment. With a Net Operating Income (NOI) annualized at the 30th month values of around $4 million/month after expenses of $750 thousand, this plan generates a business yielding approximately $50 million of NOI annually.

Assuming that in the succeeding 30 months (5 years total), the growth rate continues on the curve reached at the 30th month after startup [i.e. NOI at $4 million per month], and with another $2.5 million of new investment and proportionally increased expenses, there would then be realized an annual NOI of $0.5 Billion at the 60th month.
